Case Studies - PFD and P&ID Creation!

Case Studies - Follow up!

PFD and P&ID Interpretation & Creation

As promised...

Let's cover the "hands-on" practice part of the course: Case Studies.

If you are not quite familiar, a case study is a:

  • detailed, real-world scenario
  • used to explore a particular subject, analyze a situation, and apply theoretical concepts.
  • Scope is not fully defined, so the Student can reach broader limits

Typically, they require students to examine a complex problem, investigate various perspectives, and propose solutions based on the information provided.

Case Study A: PFD Drawing

Let's use the Claus Process for Sulfur Recovery.

It is quite relevant to understand the chemical process before we can even get started.

We go from scratch, select the Equipment

Final touch

This Case Stude #2 Video Lecture will not be publicly available for a few days, ensure to check it out or enroll!

Case Study B: P&ID Drawing

And of course, P&ID is one of the most sought out diagrams for engineers.

Let us use a simple Whisky Production Process. We will draw a piping and instrumentation diagram including main equipment, major and minor streams, as well as basic instrumentation for temperature, pressure and flow control.

Selecting Equipment

Adding Streams and Sub-Equipment

Labeling, Coloring, Annotating

Of course, we go step by step in the creation of this P&ID, make no worries!

Enrollment Opens Tomorrow!

If you enroll between Wednesday 20th and Sunday 24th, you'll get a:
